A) Local Product disposal to all customers

Teledyne FLIR is committed to meeting its obligations to the environment, including the regulations related to recycling and disposal of Teledyne FLIR product.

In Europe, electronic devices need to be disposed of in accordance with the WEEE Directive.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment which contains materials, components and substances that may be hazardous and present a risk to human health and the environment when WEEE is not handled correctly.

Equipment marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the equipment should not be disposed of in unsorted household waste.

Local authorities in many regions have established collection schemes under which residents can dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment at your local recycling center or other collection point.

Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries

B) Product Take Back for business customers (B2B products)

Teledyne FLIR is committed to meeting the requirements of the European Union (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2014. These Regulations require producers of electrical and electronic equipment to finance the takeback of WEEE resulting from products that we place on the EU market. This helps us to ensure that WEEE is reused or recycled safely. In line with that commitment Teledyne FLIR will take back WEEE from you.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries.

You also have a role to play in ensuring that WEEE is reused and recycled safely. So, if you choose not to return WEEE to us then you should not dispose of it in your bin. The crossed out wheeled-bin symbol on the product reminds users not to dispose WEEE in the bin. You should ensure that the WEEE is collected separately and sent for proper treatment. WEEE contains hazardous substances and if not managed and treated safely it can cause pollution and damage human health.
